Jazz's Female Singers: Ella, Sarah, Billie, and More

Jazz's long history of female singers is headlined by the big three of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan. However, the lineage of great female singers extends through to the modern day.

Patrick and the trio are joined by a female vocalist to perform the music of nine of jazz's female singers:

  • Ella Fitzgerald

  • Sarah Vaughan

  • Billie Holiday

  • Nina Simone

  • Norah Jones

  • Samara Joy

  • Esperanza Spalding

  • Veronica Swift

  • Peggy Lee

In addition to visual aids and live musical performance, audiences will hear about the lives and individual musical styles of each singer. Featuring many well known standards from the 40's through the modern day, this program is great for all ages!
